King Bruce keen to break failure jinx
Since June 2012, King Bruce has been winless. This is greatly disappointing for his trainer, E. McNair, who has administered many techniques on him to improvise his racing stamina. As the black and white dog prepares to run The Never A Quarrel - Bet With Coral Sprint at Romford racecourse on Friday, Some sport analysts claim that this will be the time for him to end his lean patch.
After breaking from the white box, the two-year-old novice hound will run over 225 meters with his utmost capacity to dominate five mighty competitors. On winning, he will bring home ?175.
Though King Bruce did not win any race during the last three months, but he delivered some decent performances for thirds and runner-up positions.
For the coming contest, the punters have written him off totally, but McNair hopes that his pupil will thrive this time at every cost.
The young hound started his career in May 2012. The first month was greatly successful for him as he marvellously won three T3 races in a row.
That hilarious feat impressed all and the dog earned great applause that did not prove to be a good omen for him as he lost his momentum instantly.
The son of Big Daddy Cool out of Cabra Exclusive registered three consecutive runner-up ranks and a third during June-July. He went on to finish second again in the Coral On TV Puppy Trophy - Heat 3.
Throughout August, King Bruce struggled badly. He failed to do well even in his last outing on September 6.
During the last two weeks, the young hound went through many taxing drills. Hopefully, he has gained some momentum that will help him thrive in the race.
The biggest threat to King Bruce will be Billymatt who has made some glorious marks since the beginning of August.
On August 5, the M. Wiley trained fawn dog won the Coral.co.uk Maiden Sprint by a neck?s margin. He proceeded to register a 14?-length clean victory on August 21. He earned another sterling success on September 1.
At the moment, Billymatt is awash with winning drive. Thus, a fierce battle is expected between the two might hounds. Good luck to the duo.
