Senor Mex says: I agree with the fact that you should try to avoid driving in Baja at night. Other than that though, I think it's a very safe place to drive. You shouldn't go without Mexican auto insurance online, of course, and you should always obey all of the speed limits and other traffic laws. If possible, bring along a GPS so that you can find your way around more easily. Keep paper maps handy too. If your GPS runs out of power or otherwise quits working, you will have a backup plan ready to go. Mexico doesn't use barbed wire as much as we do in the States. So cattle tend to roam free at night, right onto the highway. Hence its a good idea to carry Mexican auto insurance online.

A few years ago my buddy and I decided to take a road trip to a remote fishing spot a little ways off Baja?s Highway 1. We loaded up the truck with pretty much everything but the kitchen sink, and after a little hesitation, we took off for the border. We both knew it was a bad idea to be driving in Baja at night but we just couldn?t wait until daylight to head out.
