Foreign cinema fiends and foodies unite for a free feast and film screening in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year. At the Freer Gallery of Art,?Chef Hou Chunsheng will dish up samples of his Taiwanese specialty for attendees to savor. His beef noodles (winner of the 2011 Taipei Beef Noodle Soup Competition)?are coveted by international gourmets, and are a perfect appetizer to complement the main course?a screening of Eat Drink Man Woman.?The film by Taiwan-born director Ang Lee is centered around an elderly chef and his daughters, following their struggle to traverse life in modern Taiwan.
