Sony Xperia Tablet Z to be unveiled on January 22nd?

Looks like Sony is preparing to launch a new tablet that will complement its existing Xperia Tablet S. The still-rumored Xperia Tablet Z will apparently be unveiled by NTT DoCoMo, the leading mobile operator in Japan, on January 22nd.

We?re not sure what to expect, but I would put my bet on a higher resolution screen, better CPU and more RAM. Heck, I would say Sony will make a tablet that has a resolution comparable to the Nexus 10 (that?s 2560?1600 pixels), while boasting 2GB of RAM and some newer quad-core processor like Qualcomm?s Snapdragon S4 Pro. We?ll have to wait for few more days to get most (if not all) answers. Then, while at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we?ll make sure to spend some solid hands-on time with this tablet. Stay tuned?

UPDATE: @Xperia_Info claims that the Xperia Tablet Z will be a water and dust resistance device with specs that include a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 1920?1200 resolution screen, 32GB of storage, and a big 6000mAh battery. The tablet?s thickness was reported to be just 6.9mm.
